As a restaurant employee, you are enthusiastic, you have perseverance, and you always put the interests of the guests first. Your friendly demeanor and attention to detail ensure that every diner has an exceptional experience. You are responsible for serving dishes during breakfast, lunch, and dinner, carefully presenting each meal to meet the restaurant’s high standards. Additionally, you provide the restaurant with set tables, ensuring that each table setting is immaculate and inviting. Beyond these tasks, you assist in maintaining cleanliness and order in the dining area, and you may occasionally help with special events or private functions, further showcasing your dedication to exceptional service. During teatime and special events you also support our onboard bar team.

You are service-oriented and have an enthusiastic appearance and you get along well with different types of people
You have knowledge of the basic principles and etiquette of the catering industry and know how to apply them
Preferably previous (river) cruise experience
The happiness of our guests is your main priority
You should have no trouble being away from home for a few months and living on board
You have knowledge of the HACCP guidelines
You are open minded and flexible and have a hands-on mentality
You are resistant to stress and resilient
Excellent English skills (written & verbal), German knowledge is a big advantage
Sijfa Travel:
